Cortado Group Code of Conduct

This document outlines the ethical and professional standards expected of everyone participating in the Innovation Studio, including interns.

Standards of Conduct

  • Conduct business honestly and fairly, maintaining confidentiality where required by law or policy.
  • Comply with all company policies and applicable laws; avoid actions that even appear to violate them.
  • Never sacrifice ethical behavior for personal gain or business objectives.
  • Use company property only for legitimate business interests and protect Cortado Group assets.
  • Respect customers, vendors, competitors, and their property.
  • Treat fellow team members with dignity and put the success of Cortado Group ahead of personal gain.

Failure to follow these standards may result in discipline up to and including termination.

Code of Business Ethics and Conduct

Cortado Group is committed to operating with integrity and expects everyone to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Employees and interns must comply with all inquiries or investigations concerning violations of this code. Failure to do so may lead to immediate termination.

Ethical Standards

  • Perform duties in good faith and to the best of your ability.
  • Refrain from illegal conduct or misuse of company assets and information.
  • Do not accept gifts that could influence judgment or create a conflict of interest.
  • Disclose any financial interests or relationships with customers, vendors, or competitors.
  • Do not use confidential information for personal benefit.
  • Avoid agreements with competitors to fix prices or engage in unfair practices.
  • Never provide gifts to government representatives.
  • Notify the Compliance Officer immediately of any government inquiries.
  • Do not destroy or alter documents in response to an investigation.
  • Report suspected violations to compliance@cortadogroup.com.

Conflicts of Interest

All interns must avoid activities that conflict with Cortado Group interests, including:

  1. Working simultaneously for a competitor or supplier.
  2. Conducting company business with an organization in which you or a close relative have a substantial interest.
  3. Borrowing money from customers or businesses that provide services to Cortado Group.
  4. Soliciting or accepting substantial gifts in connection with your role.
  5. Using your position or company knowledge for personal gain.

If you are unsure whether a situation poses a conflict, consult your manager or the Compliance Officer before proceeding.
